SSL totally in the shit!

Not only have they found a way to hack certain keys, and found a way to forge certificates, they’ve now found a way to use the registration process of one of the CA’s to issue a certificate for any site you like.
Researchers (whoever /they/ are) are now estimating around 14% of all certificates to be false.
Considering the emphasis on SSL as being secure, this is somewhat of a crisis of confidence in internet security.

The UK police feel justified to hack into your computer, read your emails and other documents on your hard drive, install keyloggers – all without a warrant! The only nod they need is from a ‘senior police officer’.

Basically all you have to do is send a text message with a ‘from’ identifier of length > 32 chars and a small flag set.
The only way to recover is a factory reset, allthough there is a link in the text which may or may not work.
A staggering amount of the Nokia product line is affected.
